About Hive Eats
Hive Eats is a curated meal delivery service featuring 10 of the top restaurants in Salt Lake City. Our curated collection of restaurants allows our guests to experience fine-dining meals at home. We offer fully prepared, heat & serve meals, for the same cost of national meal prep recipe services.
As a result of lockdowns and reduced dining capacities during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Salt Lake City restaurant community came together with a solution. A goal, to keep local restaurants alive and thriving, and our employees employed.
The Hive Eats restaurants are committed to using sustainable and recyclable packaging. Local delivery from local restaurants allows us to minimize packaging including unnecessary ice packs, oversized boxes and plastic bags and bottles. Your meals came from within 10 miles of your home, meaning less emissions on the road.
We offer a low-cost option for local restaurants to participate so more revenue stays with the business themselves.
Missy Greis grew up in Aspen, Colorado in the 1970s and 80s, where an appreciation for community involvement was cultivated. She is the owner of Publik Coffee Roasters, Publik Kitchen & Pubik Ed’s with locations in the Central 9th, Avenues, 9th & 9th and University districts of Salt Lake City. Publik, which is Dutch for “community”, was built with the desire to create great craft coffee and serve food made from local ingredients, in spaces that encourage the community to gather and foster relationships. Her sense of building for a greater good and making a contribution came from her small town roots and its populace of people who strive to make a difference.
Dean Pierose is the owner of Cucina Wine Bar. Dean grew up in Boise and through hard work and good fortune and great relationships became a restaurant owner. Dean has hiked 500 miles across Spain, summited Mount Kilimanjaro, made 3 hole in ones and is considered the luckiest son of a bitch on the planet. The others keep him around for jokes and to make them feel good about themselves.
